A24 has debuted one final promo trailer for Backrooms, a feature film version of the web series made by YouTuber Kane Parsons aka "Kane Pixels". Opening in theaters in a few weeks – this is going to be a major sleeper hit. Created by one of the youngest filmmakers ever directing a movie for A24. Ready for a nationwide launch late May and everyone is buzzing about it. It is based upon the urban legend and creepypasta of the same name that was made into Parsons' YouTube series. The movie stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett, Lukita Maxwell, and Avan Jogia. A series of disturbing home videos captures the supernatural events that terrorize their witnesses: a strange doorway appears in the basement of a furniture showroom.
