Sounds dangerous! 🥊 Voltage Pictures & Altitude have debuted an official trailer for The Cut, a boxing movie from filmmaker Sean Ellis (also of The Cursed). This premiered last year at the Toronto Film Festival and is set for release in this US this September one full year later. It's also opening in UK & Ireland cinemas in early September as well. A retired boxer returns to the ring for one last shot at the title but only if he can make the weight. Holed up in a room in Las Vegas he embarks on an intensive and illegal weight cut program with an unscrupulous trainer - played by Turturro. This psychological thriller follows a former champ training for the ultimate redemption – "but as obsession takes hold and reality unravels, he may be spiraling into something far more terrifying." Starring Orlando Bloom, Caitríona Balfe, and John Turturro. TIFF adds this spicy bit: "Many scenes are brutal, yet you cannot look away... The Cut is about wounds that will not heal.
