"I help people, Ms. O’Donahue. I see a need, and I fill it." "You see a need and you exploit it." Ha! Focus Features has revealed their official trailer for
Honey Don't!, a surprise crime comedy made by Ethan Coen (half of the Coen Brothers) arriving to watch at the end of summer. This is premiering at the
2025 Cannes Film Festival in their Midnight section - starting next week. Then it opens in US theaters later
in August this summer.
Honey Don't! is a dark comedy about Honey O’Donahue, a small-town private investigator, who delves into a series of strange deaths tied to a mysterious church. Set in Bakersfield, California, the film focuses on a private investigator (Qualley), a cult leader (Evans), and a "mystery woman" (Plaza). That's all they've revealed about it! Starring
Margaret Qualley,
Aubrey Plaza,
Charlie Day, and
Chris Evans. Along with
Talia Ryder,
Billy Eichner,
Don Swayze, and
Lera Abova. Helluva cast! A kooky concept! Coen quirks! Yeah I'm in. Looks like a kinky fun time - reminds me of
Fargo with a few new twists. Dive in. //
