New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel has revealed he’s aware of a video showing Stefon Diggs with a baggie of pink substance among a group of women. A few seconds after the receiver produced the baggie of pink crystals, one of the women snatched it from his hands. Folks online have since been talking about his career and dating life!
While speaking to the media on May 28, Coach Mike Vrabel declined to answer whether he talked to Stefon Diggs about the viral video.
“It’s something that we’re aware of,” Vrabel said. “Obviously, we want to make great decisions on and off the field. … The message will be the same for all our players: that we’re trying to make great decisions.”
The coach added, “Any conversations that I’ve had with Stefon will remain between him, I, and the club.” He made the comments at an optional practice that Diggs did not attend. Mike emphasized that players who did not participate in the practice communicated with him and position coaches.
Meanwhile, an NFL spokesman said the league would not comment. Diggs’ agents did not immediately respond to a text from The Associated Press requesting comment.
The video of the pink substance went viral amid speculations that Stefon Diggs is dating a female rapper. He and the rapper recently sat courtside at a Boston Celtics-New York Knicks playoff game at Madison Square Garden. Before that, she was spotted leaving the Met Gala with him.
As for the viral clip, he’s seen talking to three women on a boat, asking them his “name.” They eventually figure out that he means “daddy,” and start saying it before he produces a bag of pink crystals. At this time, it’s still not clear what the pink substance was. Other videos from what appears to be the same boat trip show a larger crowd that includes the female rapper he’s allegedly dating.
Stefon Diggs, 31, signed with the New England Patriots this offseason as a free agent. He landed a three-year, $69 million deal that guarantees him $26 million. Last year, the Buffalo Bills traded him to Houston. Before then, he had posted six straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons for the Minnesota Vikings and Bills. He had 47 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns in eight games for the Texans before he tore the ACL in his right knee in October. Diggs is also a four-time Pro Bowl player. If healthy, Stefon Diggs is expected to be a top target for second-year quarterback Drake Maye.
