YouTuber Damien Prince is not feeling Kai Cenat right now. The Twitch star left folks shook after he threw some shade Damien’s way while hyping up his new streaming university. Kai made it clear that the event is free before bringing up Damien’s former university program, claiming people were allegedly scammed. Oop! Damien’s feathers were clearly ruffled as he responded to Kai. Here’s the scoop…
On Tuesday, May 13, Kai Cenat jumped on his livestream to give the rundown on his upcoming project. The program is considered a weekend-long event to help rising streamers level up their content and connect with other creators. And with over a million people having already applied, per The Independent, it’s a big deal, y’all.
However, not everyone was sold on the idea, and Kai wasn’t here for the haters. In the heat of the moment, he said, “I think it’s hard to fathom that this s*** is actually happening,” and seemingly threw a jab at Damien and his wife, Biannca. Kai claimed the last time someone had a “university” of this sort, it was the YouTube couple, and “they scammed the s*** out of n****s.”
Kai stressed that his event was completely free, saying, “If you are selected, you will be living on a college campus.” He emphasized that it’s not about teaching streaming basics but elevating content. Kai then got louder, adding, “I’m not teaching you how to stream. If you are in, you already know how to stream.”
Before getting to Damien’s response, let’s rewind to 2017 when he and Biannca launched D&B University. It was hyped up as the place to learn how to build a YouTube empire and create fire content. Additionally, they were charging hundreds of dollars for courses, depending on the package, and marketed it as sharing their secret sauce.
Shortly after, however, fans started calling cap on the whole thing. Additionally, people who spent their hard-earned money aired their frustration online, saying the course wasn’t all that. Additionally, many claimed the content was basic, similar to stuff one could find for free on YouTube or Google.
Damien wasn’t about to let Kai’s shade slide. On Thursday, May 15, he hopped on his Instagram Story to set the record straight. In a post dripping with confidence, Damien wrote, “D&B University was legit—just like the paperwork that just landed in your inbox,” alongside a handshake emoji. Then, he tagged Kai’s official IG account to ensure the message hit its mark. He also added Rob49’s song ‘WTHELLY’ to the post, hinting he may have been confused by Kai’s shots. Damien’s not just defending his name though… he’s suggesting legal action might be coming the 23-year-old’s way.
The comments section under TSR Teens’ post was fired up as the Roomies sounded off with their thoughts on the drama. Here’s what some had to say…
