"If I suspected your husband of a crime, would that shock you?" "What crime would that be?" "Well, what crime do you think he could be capable of?" Apple TV has revealed an official trailer for the new fire series called
Smoke, inspired by the
"Firebug" podcast about an arsonist in Southern California. This new original series is created by the acclaimed author
Dennis Lehane, whose best-selling crime thriller mystery
books ("Mystic River", "Gone Baby Gone", "Shutter Island") all of you are familiar with already. It'll be streaming
in June coming up this summer. Inspired by true events, and set in the Pacific Northwest,
Smoke follows a troubled detective and an enigmatic arson investigator as they both pursue the trails of two serial arsonists.
Taron Egerton (as arson investigator Dave Gudsen) and
Jurnee Smollett (as Det. Michell Calderon) attempt to get as close to the truth as possible—without getting burned. The full cast also includes
John Leguizamo,
Rafe Spall,
Greg Kinnear,
Ntare Mwine,
Hannah Emily Anderson,
Anna Chlumsky. Looks like yet another mystery thriller with many twists and turns like almost every other series these days. //
