Antonio Brown’s night at a Miami kickboxing event on Friday, May 16, took a turn when a wild fight allegedly broke out, landing him in handcuffs. As video footage started blowing up online, he hopped on social media to tell his side of the story.
According to TMZ, Antonio Brown was leaving Adin Ross’ Brand Rick kickboxing event on Friday night when a serious brawl popped off. Clips show AB getting into it with several people outside the venue. Video footage the TMZ obtained shows Brown throwing punches at one man, while others jumped in as the fight moved to an alley. Another clip shows an individual aggressively pulling him to the ground. After he got up, AB kicked the person who tackled him before trying to bounce from the chaos.
A clip shared by @InternetH0F on X (formerly Twitter) caught a crowd of people moving to an alley again where two alleged gunshots rang out, causing everyone to scatter. After all that Miami Police showed up, and another video shared by LiveBitez showed Antonio Brown walking out in handcuffs with the cops.
Early on Saturday, May 17, Antonio Brown jumped on X to spill his side of what allegedly went down just hours before. The former NFL star said a bunch of people jumped him trying to snatch his jewelry. Brown also talked about the video showing him in handcuffs, saying cops just held him for a bit before letting him go. He said he went home and didn’t get arrested.
“Regarding the boxing event that happened last night. I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me. Contrary to some video circulating, Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me. I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED,” AB wrote.
Brown also told fans that he’s planning to press charges on the people who jumped him.
“I will be talking to my legal council and attorneys on pressing charges on the individuals that jumped me. I will keep you all posted step-by-step on the process. Thank you for the support and love #AB#84”

Even after cops cuffed him earlier, AB hopped back on Adin Ross’ stream shortly after. A video from @clipsxllc showed him smiling from ear to ear as he dapped up everybody in the room. Folks in the spot asked if the crew really tried to snatch his jewelry. but Brown didn’t say too much about the incident at the time.
