During a recent panel, Oprah Winfrey and Bishop T.D. Jakes addressed online chatter about their alleged friendship with Diddy amid his ongoing federal trial. With the rise of AI and people finding it harder to tell what’s real and what’s fake, Oprah and Bishop Jakes cleared their name from any stories or deepfake videos circulating of them kicking it with the Bad Boy Records founder. Their chat comes just days after it was claimed prosecutors will reportedly be looking to rest their case in Diddy’s case following a weeks-long trial. Here’s the lowdown…

Bishop Jakes wasn’t letting the internet play him either! He admitted to stopping by Diddy’s crib once during a daytime birthday party, not a late-night turn-up. “I was there 30 minutes, said ‘Happy Birthday,’ and bounced!” Jakes said.
Additionally, the Bishop dismissed the rumor mill, saying people spread lies without checking the facts. He believed this was due to people becoming so fascinated by others’ personal affairs, regardless of whether they were true or not. Jakes also stated that it was time for people to get their own lives back on track and not worry so much about what others have going on.
“People love salacious stories, you can tell them stories about you feeding those girls in South Africa… they don’t want to hear about that at all,” he said. “If you tell them about Puffy’s biceps, they want to follow you all the way around the world and I think it’s because we’ve become so engrossed in other people’s lives to keep from having our own.”
Diddy is currently fighting some serious charges in a New York courthouse, including sex trafficking and racketeering. He’s pleaded not guilty. However, after a six-week trial, prosecutors are reportedly ready to rest their case by Monday, June 22, according to PEOPLE.
The feds have been building their case with receipts, testimonies, and video footage, with sources asserting they’re confident they’ve laid it all out in the court. If found guilty of his charges, Diddy could face the rest of his life in prison.
