DDG’s brother DuB has spoken out following news of Halle Bailey filing a restraining order against him. The order reportedly prevents the streamer from being near her or their son, Halo. In a tearful Twitch stream, Dub passionately defended DDG, denying claims he ever touched Halle. Meanwhile, DDG’s friend Deshae Frost is weighing in too, alleging Halle used to “beat the sh**” out of him.
On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Dub took to Twitch to stand up for his brother after Halle filed a restraining order. He shared that the situation was breaking his heart, saying it made him “hella emotional.” Dub explained that DDG streams constantly because he can’t see Halo as much as he wants, and it’s tearing him apart. “That’s why my brother’s on till he goes to sleep,” Dub revealed, noting it’s “lowkey f***ing him up.”
Dub turned off his camera, admitting he didn’t want viewers to see him appearing so vulnerable. When he returned, wearing glasses to hide his tears, he continued. He said the Michigan native streams for hours because he’s struggling with limited access to his son. In a clip reposted by TSR Teens, Dub emphasized that Halo needs both parents, stressing that DDG faces the consequences of their failed relationship, which now restricts his time with his son.
Halle claims her ex was physically abusive multiple times, including a January incident where he allegedly struck her against his car’s steering wheel, chipping her tooth. Dub responded, questioning if people really believed DDG would “hit a f***ing movie star.” He argued there’s no way his brother would “beat” someone as high-profile as Halle.
Additionally, he asked if anyone thought Halle would hit DDG or if they could’ve been physical with each other. He dismissed the idea, saying it’s unlikely, but admitted they might’ve had heated arguments along the way. Dub emphasized that arguments should stay between two parties, adding that exes are supposed to “argue on text messages and fight online,” but bringing the kids into it was out of the question.
But that wasn’t all. DDG’s friend and Twitch collaborator Deshae Frost jumped into the drama on Wednesday, May 14. During his livestream, the 24-year-old questioned Halle’s timing, wondering why she waited months to file if one of the incidents happened in January. He argued she can’t prove DDG’s a bad dad or unwilling to co-parent, calling her restraining order motive “weird.” Deshae said he’d continue to uplift his friend and refused to let his name get dragged on social media.
Then, Deshae dropped a wild claim, saying DDG used to tell him about Halle smacking him while he was chilling on the bed. “Real s**t, POW, he was just sitting there,” Deshae recounted before adding that DDG won’t speak out for himself. He insisted he won’t let people paint DDG as an abuser, adding how the couple went through “so much s**t” the public doesn’t know about.
